A Birchfield Education

A Birchfield Education

Benjamin Franklin

An all-round education requires a broad, rich and diverse curriculum and dynamic extra-curricular opportunities. A Birchfield pupil is exposed to a vast array of learning experiences and personal growth opportunities during their journey with us. The result of this holistic approach is clear to see; our pupils are socially confident, well-mannered and respectful and demonstrate intelligence, curiosity and a love of learning which we hope has set them on a lifelong path of knowledge acquisition. Below you will find details about each Birchfield School year.

Specialist Teaching

Birchfield School believes that early education should be of the highest quality. The way we deliver this quality is by exposing children from Pre-Prep to a selection of specialist teachers and then teaching from Year 3 upwards with teachers who display real passion for their subject areas.  This passion is transferred to our pupils who share in inspirational learning lessons and experiences.

Every Pupil Counts

It is no exaggeration to say that every teacher at Birchfield knows every child; their unique personality, strengths and challenges. This knowledge of and relationship with our children provides many educational benefits and allows for meaningful and positive relationships to be built from the moment pupils arrive. All of this is possible through our small class sizes and our personal approach to children and their families.

Extra–Curricular Opportunities

Take your pick at Birchfield from a diverse range of opportunities for your children, delivered after lunch or after school. Some of our many popular clubs are: Harry Potter Club, Myths and Legends, Business and Enterprise, Spanish, Golf, Dance, Flower Arranging, Tennis and Lego.

Academia forms the backbone of the Birchfield curriculum and this focus is demonstrated in our provision of qualified subject specialist teachers from Year 3. It is our aim always to discover and develop your child’s potential in the classroom and provide a supportive environment in which they can thrive academically.
