Scholarships & Bursaries

Birchfield welcomes applications for Scholarships in Academia, Music, Arts and Sport. Each child and their situation is judged on merit and potential and any subsequent offers made are entirely at the discretion of Birchfield School. Scholarships are available for children joining us in Years 4, 5 or 6 and are based on a commitment to stay until the end of Year 8 for 13+ examinations.
Bursaries may be available for pupils who, on grounds of hardship, would not otherwise be able to attend an independent school. We appreciate that investing in a Birchfield education is a major financial commitment and that not all families wanting to give this wonderful opportunity to their children can afford the full fees.
Birchfield School has a small fund from which it will aim to support those families for whom the fees are a step too far. If you feel that, whilst you can pay a substantial proportion of the fees, you are unable to commit to a Birchfield education in full, then there may be some help available to you in the form of a Bursary. A comprehensive evaluation of parental/household income, expenditure and assets is made to determine financial need.
