In the Summer Term our girls play rounders, training weekly on our dedicated rounders pitch and competing against other schools regularly . Birchfield nurtures strong hitters and catchers of the rounders ball and we have many of our girls playing cricket too, which helps with hand to eye co-ordination skills.

Rounders remains a popular sport here at Birchfield and always attracts an impressive spectator crowd as we seek to hit, run and catch at the highest level of play. Girls compete weekly, hosting rounders teams at school and playing away at a variety of different schools,  building on their successes through the term.
