I am very proud and privileged to have the opportunity to lead Birchfield School as its Headmaster. We are an independent co-educational preparatory school (4-13).

The core strength of the School is the quality and range of teaching and learning opportunities on offer; this comes from the dedication of the Birchfield Team, and the positive relationships which are fostered between pupils and staff. Being a small school, we are able to offer unprecedented individual  focus in and out of the classroom; it is this attention to detail that enables us to foster successful outcomes for our pupils whether at 11 or 13 years of age.

We have a genuine reputation for providing a quality all-round education for boys and girls, Birchfield strives to enable every pupil, whatever their ability, to achieve success and begin to develop a lifelong love of learning.  Our dedicated and professional staff work hard to create a positive environment where children want to learn.   We aim to educate children by inspiring them, instilling them with confidence both in and out of the classroom. 

During this exciting journey, they are guided and supported so as not to lose sight of fundamental values. Whilst delivering a broad and enriching education, our whole community prides itself on good manners and integrity. Birchfield shows its pupils the exciting world around them, but also encourages them to take an independent and active role as responsible citizens.
