Football is our Autumn Term boys’ sport at Birchfield and a great School favourite with highly focused weekly training and hotly contested fixtures at home and away.
The football season is dynamic and fast-paced and we see many successes for Birchfield each season at all age groups, resulting in cups, medals and awards for our cabinets; especially significant as we often play schools with a much larger selection of boys to choose from. Our U13 football team have previously been ISA Midlands Champions and finished 7th in the UK in the National Finals. Our U11 side have been winners of the Ellesmere College Football Tournament as well as enjoying regular victories against a number of local prep schools.
All boys have the opportunity to represent their School at competitive matches and substitutes are always given pitch time if they have travelled to a match. Football at Birchfield goes from strength to strength with our focused training and wonderful pitches being the envy of many visiting schools.
